This is the list of mods I use on my WoW. Note that some may not be useful to you depending on which class you play or your playstyle. I also have my own custom PHP based Ace updater script that I made which is designed for the Mac but can probably be adapated to work for other machines with PHP command line support installed. It downloads the no-ext versions of the mods so there is only one copy of each library. There are instructions in the file of how to edit it as needed to work for the mods you use. - Altoholic - tracks money, items, recipes, banks, mailboxes, etc between all your characters on one account
- Atlas - maps of most instances
- BigWigs - has timers for most major bosses, there is also LittleWigs for 5 man instances
- BuffEnough - tracks which buffs you are missing in a raid environment in a simple interface
- Cartographer - full featured map replacement with many useful features such as coordinates, map notes and more
- Chatter - allows for customization of the chat interface and copying urls and text
- Clique - allows you to customize spells to be cast on clicking interface elements combined with modifiers, very useful when combined with Grid or another raid inferface
- Deadly Boss Mods - has timers and announce features for most major bosses and also includes timers for battlegrounds
- Dominos - customizable bar replacement
- Dragon Hider - removes the dragon graphic around the button bar
- Elephant - chat logger, makes it very easy to keep track of past conversations even if you get disconnected or have to relog
- ElkBuffBars - allows you to create custom buff and debuff bars (and filter only the buffs you want displayed), useful for tracking critical buffs and debuffs
- Grid - raid interface for tracking status and healing
- InFlight - shows timers for flights
- Main Assist - lets you set hotkeys to assist and to set the current assist and create custom tank windows
- Minimap Button Bag - collects all your minimap icons into one place
- oRA2 - various raid tools including setting CTRaid tank windows, checking raid durability, auto raid invites and more
- Omen - tracks threat and has built in warnings and displays to help you manage it
- OmniCC - shows cooldowns for all items and spells on top of the icons in big numbers
- Persistence of Chattiness - allows you to default chat in numbered channels the way you can in other channels
- Quartz - castbar replacement that adds additional useful information and shows you latency timing to allow adjustment for
- Power Auras - allows you to create graphical effects to track buffs, debuffs and more!
- Range Display - shows the estimated distance of your target and focus
- RatingBuster - converts stats and ratings to values you can understand more easily
- Recount - damage meter, easy to use and includes detailed breakdowns and graphs of where the damage is coming from in addition to other useful details like CC breaks
- Reputation Monitor - displays a small monitor for reputations on your screen that shows the current amount and the change since login. You can turn on as many or as few reputations as you want to track
- Shadowed UnitFrames - customizable unit frames replacement with many useful added features
- Telo's Info Bar - has many modules to display bits of information in a convenient form such as coordinates, money, bag slots, regen rates (the latest version of this can usually be found in the mods forum on the official WoW site)
- TipTac - allows you to customize the tooltip display for players, mobs and items, also shows who's targetting what you have moused over
- XRS - XRaidStatus allows you to customize a quick look interface to all the important data you need to know about your raid (status on deaths, range, mana, buffs, etc)
- Specialized Needs
- Necrosis - useful to warlocks, tracks your shards, tracks soulstone and healthstone cooldowns and many more useful warlock specific features
- OptiTaunt - taunt resist notification for tanks, also includes notifications for cooldown use such as last stand and shield wall
- RangeDisplay - shows estimated range to your target and focus
