Tears, Lies, & Some Truths Revealed

Casa Spaulding: Amanda, Alan-Michael, and Philip argue about who set
Philip up five years ago.

Griffin's Heartbreak Hotel Room: Gilly and Griff are in vociferous denial
of Vivian's claims about Gilly's paternity.

Bloss's Digs: Enter Hart, angry with Blake for unleashing Roger on the world.

Laurel Falls Cemetery: On his 199th pilgrimage this week to Hart's "grave"
Roger freaks out after finding something (not sure exactly what Dina buried
here, since Hart is otherwise occupied right now) as Dina looks on with
feigned concern.

Bloss's Digs: Hart and Blake continue a heated discussion about their
father. She's upset that a sane man is being driven crazy; he maintains
Roger is an animal.

Hart's Grave: Dina wants to go home now. Roger rambles on about his
mental instability. Finally, seeing something that really frightens him,
he screams and runs off. Dina grins.

Heartbreak Hotel: Gilly and Griff continue to disbelieve Vivian's current
story; she has cried wolf so many times, they see no reason to believe her
now. Gilly says she no longer respects her mother and asks what happened
to her high moral code? Gilly suspects she might have to climb up to get
into the gutter. Finally, in desperation, Vivian relives the night of
Gilly's conception for Griff, that hot summer night back in Alabama.
Vivian's slightly over the edge here; Griff behaves in his best wooden
manner. He's not the brightest bulb on the porch about these things, but
he finally begins to sense there may be some truth to her histrionics.
Gilly decides the only way to make Vivian back down is to call her bluff by
calling Charles to come and hear this newest tale.  Vivian is alarmed;
Griff is uneasy, too.

Casa Spaulding: More insult trading among the siblings from hell. Philip
grills Amanda about her involvement in his past troubles; she denies all
and grovels for his approval. The In-The-Dark-Prince, disgusted by all he
sees and hears, refuses to dignify the conversation with any response.

Rising Star: Meanwhile, back at the yacht...Lucy has returned and wonders
where her prince has gone. During her search, she discovers a dossier on
Philip.

Casa Spaulding: Philip shares his letter signed by "A. Spaulding." AM is
angered that his brother would accuse him, and claims that Philip has
manufactured this excuse to come back and start trouble. Philip retorts
that they all ignored him for five years during his troubles. AM stomps
out; Amanda insists "he did it."

Thorpe Penthouse: Roger seems completely lost, sitting on the edge of his
bed while Dina prattles on and on about a lovely asylum she has found to
help fix all his problems, if only he'll sign right here on the dotted
line. Roger is reduced to tears (literally--it's a pitiful sight), but in
the end he draws upon some inner strength and exits, stage left, refusing
to sign any papers.

Rising Star: Enter AM. He and Lucy make up; he admits he went to see
Philip, and they vow never, ever to withhold information from the other.
(And if you believe that, I have a bridge that's for sale...) AM then
reveals that Philip accused him of setting him up five years ago.

Casa Spaulding: Amanda prattles on and on about her theories of A
Spaulding--Alexandra, of course. Philip respectfully disagrees, and then
wonders why Amanda always defends Alan, since he treats her like dirt. She
needs a Kick Me sign for her back, he claims.

Heartbreak Hotel: Charles arrives, and when Gilly realizes her mother must
be telling the truth she tries to stop Vivian from revealing Gilly's
parentage. It's too late for that, however, as Vivian finally bares her
soul. Charles reacts in his usual calm manner; actually he has known all
along (at least since Gilly was a baby and a blood test revealed that
Gilly's Type O was impossible since Charles and Vivian are both AB). He
stayed with Vivian because he has always loved her just as he loves Gilly.
Gilly runs from the room in tears, pursued by Charles. Griff attempts to
go after her as well, but Charles says no--he is her father in every
important sense of the word.

Bloss's Digs: Hart has made cocoa for Blake as they continue to debate
Daddy Dearest. Blake's rose-colored glasses are firmly attached until Hart
begins listing Roger's most heinous crimes--raping Holly, shooting Hart in
the stomach, and strangling Dina at the hospital. When Blake says the
lonotrat just made Roger out of control, Hart retorts he's always out of
control. Blake feels she's had enough of Hart's secrets and thinks she
should tell Ross about Dina and Hart's "plan."

Thorpe Penthouse: Roger is literally on the edge, poised to jump off the
terrace balcony. He cries he'd rather die than be committed. Dina tries
to talk him down, promising to forget all about the hospital and go away
with him. He wobbles back and forth on the ledge, looking truly pitiful.
Finally, he steps down, crying that he has no friends and no son. "But you
have me," she cheerfully consoles him.

Bloss's Digs: When Hart's litany against Roger grows to include stealing
Dina's money and poisoning her with lonotrat, Blake finally understands how
appalling Roger has been lately. She feels stupid to have been taken in by
Roger once more, but Hart consoles her, saying that even if her twins won't
have a grandfather they will have a devoted uncle and Ross for a father.
Blake is even sympathetic toward Dina, and agrees not to tell Ross about
the gaslighting plot.

Casa Spaulding: Amanda and Philip continue arguing about Alan. Philip
observes that the entire family hates each other so much they feed on each
other like cannibals. Amanda retorts that whoever set Philip up did the
right thing.

Rising Star: The-In-The-Dark-Prince shows Lucy the first two quarters he
ever earned--shining Philip's shoes. AM says even though he always knew
Alan liked Philip best, he always idolized him. Lucy confronts him with
the dossier; he claims he collected the info trying to clear Philip's name,
but when Philip never contacted him to congratulate him on becoming
President of Spaulding, AM became disillusioned . You do believe me, don't
you, he pleads:

Heartbreak Hotel: Griff is packing his briefcase (don't ask me where his
clothes are, but they're not in this little bag he's concentrating on) as
Vivian desperately shries at him. He never says a word as she carries on
about being afraid of being alone. Finally he exits and she crumbles on
the bed crying.

Rising Star: Lucy says of course she knows AM would never lie to her.

Casa Spaulding: Philip stars at a family photo in disgust.

Bloss's Digs: Blake again promises to keep quiet as Hart leaves.

Thorpe Penthouse: Roger's in bed, maybe sleeping. Dina settles in to read
the newspaper. She notices that the Fifth Street Fair will be held
tomorrow. She grins that this is absolutely perfect as the frame freezes.

No Credits.
