  finest try to skewer him
BLAKE gets drawn into a nightmare of her
  brother's making

Rain keeps falling on their heads: CHRISSIE,
ROG, MANDY, PHIL and AM are caught up in a
  music video

Let the Show Begin

Voice-Over: The role of A-M Spaulding will be played by Michael
Dietz.

COUNTRY CLUB:
Phil and Mandy are at one table, AM and Lucy are across the room.
Mandy calls for more booze. AM is brooding over Phillip. He comes
to their table and Mandy invites him to continue his eviserations.

CEDARS:
Di is cruising the corridor waiting for Hart to come out of Rog's
room. The Dumb duo approach, and Di waylays them outside.
Inside his room, Rog asks Chrissie if she sees Hart.
Di is having a hard time keeping Frick and Frack at bay. Frank
finally picks her up bodily so he can get to the Dodger.

TWIRL LIGHTHOUSE

JUST LOOK BEHIND THE CURTAIN:
Hart slaps his hand over Blake's mouth and drags her behind the
curtain. D/D enter and Rog begs them to look behind the drapes.
Hart motions to Di, and she distracts all while Hart drags Blake
out of the room. Rog begs them to look for Hart, but Di blows it
off by explaining that "He's been watching the Wizard of Oz over
and over." LOL! Cleary opens the curtain but there is no one there.
Hart drags Blake to an empty supply closet. Blake demands that he
explain why he's in the doctor duds and why he flipped when the
cops came.

THE LAKELAND IS JUMPING TONIGHT:
AM tells Mandy that she knows why he squealed on her.
Mandy: "You wanted to be on TV?"
AM accuses her of being cold and callous toward the people of
5th Street. Mandy sarcastically counters that she forgot that
little brother was a "pillar of rectitude against which the rest
of us are measured and found wanting." Phil raises his brow at
this. AM knows that he has made mistakes. Amanda is sure that
he handled them with "grace and dignity." If he has anything else
to say he can leave it on her voice mail. StuffedTomato exits.
AM informs Phil that there are no job openings for him at Spaulding
and he would probably fit in a lot better at Advantage Systems.

Cut to Ross who is entering with a client, who goes off to find
a bottle of wine to celebrate the future firm of Marler, Marler and
Marler. [Obviously, they are not counting on the fact that baby B
plans to be a doctor]. Amanda is at the bar, and observes that
Ross has the world by a string. Ross happily agrees and notes that
there is nothing she can do about it. Mandy tells Ross not to
count on it.

Commercial Break

COUNTRY CLUB: MANDY MEOWS
Mandy wonders what it is about S'field that makes people so self-
righteous. Is it their civic duty to be smug? Ross notes that
Amanda's career is now a matter of public consumption. Mandy
says she is fed up with the bad girl routine so Ross can save his
breath. Ross informs Mandy that he is handling the affairs of the
5th Street Coalition pro bono. Calling him "Sir Ross the perfect
to the rescue on his white charger," Mandy assures him this is of
no interest to her. Ross leaves in disgust, off to find his paying
client.
Enter Phillip. They exchange glances. Mandy turns back, and walks
away observed by Lucy who notes that she looks miserable. AM thinks
that she has every reason to be upset. Lucy tries to convince AM
that Amanda has another side, but AM thinks that Alan and Mandy were
sweet at their wedding as a cover, and it didn't mean anything to
them. Lucy thinks that AM's actions toward Phillip are unjustified.
AM is just assuming that he is on Alan and Amanda's side [and it
is a sure way to drive him there if he is not]. Lucy notes that
Phillip hasn't done anything to AM yet, but AM thinks it is just
a matter of time. AM complains that he has been explaining his
family to Lucy for a year--why is she such a slow learner? Lucy
has had it and she vamooses. AM pursues her saying it is the third
time she has done this. Lucy points out that it was AM who walked
away from her at the rally.

CEDARS: ROG'S ROOM:
Rog is yelling for Chrissie. Di placates him and shows out the
cops. D/D inform Dinah that Rog will probably be prosecuted for
possession of an illegal drug. Rog yells from his room: "What are
you talking about?" D/D decide to go back in and ask Rog some more
questions.

CEDARS: SUPPLY CLOSET:
Blake queries Hart about Rog taking the Lonitrat. Hart insists that
he doesn't want to see Roger dead, he just wants to teach him a
lesson. Blake wants to know why he dragged her into the supply
closet. Hart says he doesn't want Roger to know he was there. It
is necessary so he will think he is imagining it. Blake thinks
this is cruel, Roger needs their help. Hart says he needs Blake's
help: he needs her to go back and convince Roger that he was an
hallucination. Blake points out that their father is spread-eagled
on a bed looking like a refugee from One Flew over the Cuckoo's
Nest, and she is going to stop it right now.

HALF-TIME

SUPPLY CLOSET: ROUND TWO:
Blake orders Hart away from the door. He begs for 5 minutes to
explain and appeals to her impending motherhood. He talks about
Roger's inadequacies as a parent. Blake conceeds that she doesn't
like or respect Rog but she can't stand by and watch him in a
hospital bed with his hands and feet tied, thinking he's crazy
when he's not. Hart wants to teach Rog a lesson: that he can't
use people and throw them away. He says Rog has done a lot worse
to him: "He tried to kill me, Blake."

CEDARS: ROG'S BEDSIDE:
Frank wonders if Rog sees Hart everywhere. A more rational Rog
says he just saw him at the hospital. Frank thinks it's like the
day Rog saw him at the jail. He asks if Rog accidentally poisoned
his son. Rog denies it. Frank wonders if Hart is walking around
like a zombie. Cleary wonders if he is dead and if guilt-ridden
Rog is having visions. Rog legitimately rejects this line of
questioning. Cleary and Frank go into a good cop/bad cop routine.
Frank tries to get Rog to confess saying it will go easier on him,
but an in-your-face Cleary vows to nail Thorpe. Frank pulls her off
and tells her to go by the book. Frank tells Rog if he confesses
he'll feel better--no more nightmares, visions. A subdued Rog
seems to fall for it: "Oh, ok..." Dinah moves in and breaks it
up, saying that she will give them the truth.

COUNTRY CLUB: TROUBLE IN PARADISE:
Lucy reminds AM that she asked him not to go public with Amanda's
past but he left her standing and went up and told the whole world.
AM wonders if her walking out is payback. Lucy says she is going
home. She can't stand to watch him act like this. AM refuses to go
with her and she exits.

Ross sees AM and Phil ignoring each other. The client, Mr. Higgins,
returns with the bottle, but Ross excuses himself so he can talk to
his nephew. Ross wonders why they are on the outs since AM used to
worship Phil. Phil tells Ross to ask AM, or better yet Mandy.

Cut to Amanda: She is muttering to herself to get it together. She
is approached by a man, Dave Thompson. He claims to be a broker with
wealthy clients and wonders if she could set up a string of girls:
pretty, no bimbos. Amanda says that she doesn't do that anymore, and
Dave wonders if she like to do it herself. AM starts to get up. Phil
gets there first. Ross and AM are hovering. Phil tells Dave to
unhand his sister.

Commercial Break

Phil tells Dave to get out before he kicks his a** all the way to the
street. Dave wonders what Phil's problemo is. "My problem is you. I
don't like looking at your face." Dave claims that StuffedTom came on
to him and claims it is a heck of a thing that the club lets in whores.
Ross has to pull Phil off of the jerk. Dave departs. Mandy looks like
she'd like the floor to swallow her. Phil wonders if AM is happy now.
AM: "Are you saying I'm the bad guy here?" Ross wants the two of them
to take it easy. AM claims to be sick of the way Phil is acting; ever
since he got back there have been looks and wisecracks. Phil says that
he hasn't done anything but AM should think about his attitude. He
grabs Mandy and exits. AM wonders who appointed Phil judge of the
truth. Ross has had it. As far as he is concerned the real culprit
is Alan. He thinks the brothers should make peace. AM wonders if Ross
has been talking to Lucy. She doesn't like the way he acts around
Phillip. Ross thinks perhaps AM should listen to his wife. AM exits.
Phil and Mandy cross paths with him, leaving the bar area with out
speaking to anyone.

RISING STAR:
Lucy arrives home, flops on the couch, and looks at a silver framed
picture of the happy couple.

HUSH HUSH SWEET ROGER:
Di leads the dumb duo behind the curtain. Her version of the truth is
that her hubby is losing his mind and has been for months. It isn't
because of the Lonitrat because he was acting crazy before that. Frank
is skeptical. Di says if they keep it up Rog is going completely off
the spool and she'll never get him back. Cleary thinks if they scare
him, he might tell the truth. Di thinks that he is incapable of that.
She reminds them of the incident with the car. Cleary agrees that
the car thing was fishy.
Roger (unseen on the other side of the curtain): "Fishing for the
car?"
Di thinks that proves he's nuts. She tells him about him seeing
Laura and the scarf thing.
Roger: "What are you talking about?"
Di tells them the woman has been dead for years. Frank thinks it
might be a cover for what he was planning to do. Di thinks they should
ask Van and Matt, they've seen it. She thinks it is post traumatic
stress syndrome because of his days in the Agency. Di wonders if
they are though so she can call the nurse to give Rog another sedative.
Frank and Cleary call it a day.
Roger: "What's going on?"
He wants to know what Di has said. She tells him she took care of
everything. Rog wonders if she told them about Hart. Di assures him
that no one will ever know that he killed his son. She tries to kiss
his forehead but Rog turns away. He yells at her to come back as she
leaves the room.

SUPPLY CLOSET: SIBLING JOUST:
Hart tells Blake that dear old Dad tried to kill him. He pointed a gun,
threatened his life, and pulled the trigger. Blake isn't buying it.
She wonders if Dinah is involved. Hart denies it. He claims it's a
father/son thing. Rog will be a better person. Hart wonders if Blake
hasn't ever done something not on the up and up for a higher good.
Blake tells Hart she has to think.
As she leaves the closet, she runs into Dinah. They spar over Roger.
Di claims Rog is peachy as long as Hart stays missing. She tells Blake
to stay away. Blake goes back into the closet and accuses Hart of being
in cahoots with that hideous woman. Not only did Rog marry a shrew, he
swallowed a dangerous drug and thinks his son is dead. Hart says he
has never asked Blake for anything but he needs her help.

TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL:
Lucy is asleep. It is storming. Lightening flashes. The door opens,
Lucy sits up and a man dressed in white enters [In the shadows, he
looks sort of like an older little Bill] We see Bracelet Man's face.
He speaks, "Hi Lucy." Lucy wonders what the man who saved them is doing
here. BM says it's a trade secret. He opens charts, and begins putting
them in order. "We all need charts to know where we're going." He
sees tough sailing, rough seas ahead, sudden changes in course. "Don't
look so afraid. It is within you to find calm water." Lucy wonders
what she has to do to be prepared. Dissolve. Focus on the yacht porthole.
We see Lucy stirring, but still asleep.

SAFE HAVEN AT THE MANSION:
Mandy and Phil come in. Mandy thinks the rain felt good. She is happy
for a safe haven. They fix coffee, and discuss the slings and arrows
of the evening. Phil thinks Mandy didn't deserve what she got. Phil
claims to be a moving target and harder to hit. Mandy thinks he is a
good man, a real stand-up guy who stood up for her even after she bit
his head off. Phil admits that the crack about Neil setting him up
stung. He wonders how Mandy knew about his big fall. She claims she
got the local papers and felt terrible about what happened to him.
Phil thinks she could have come home. Mandy says, "I wish I could but
..." She pleads tiredness and wonders if they could finish when her
brain is fully operational. They hug and Mandy goes upstairs.
Phillip goes to the phone and calls Beth.
"Beth, I need you. I miss you and Lizzie so much, I can't even tell
you."

STORMY WEATHER AT CEDARS:
The dumb duo are leaving. Frank thinks nothing made any sense. Cleary
says she isn't buying a single word. Frank thinks they have a lot
of work to do.

Blake goes into Roger's room. He is trashing around.
Roger: "Oh, Chrissie, thank God, you're back. I was beginning to
think I really lost it."
Chrissie wonders if she could get anything for him. Rog just wants
to know where "he" is. When Blake asks who, Rog says she was just
there with Hart 10 minutes ago. Blake claims it is the first time
she has been there. Rog moans at this news and begins to thrash
again. Hart enters the room. Rog exclaims, "Look, look, there he is."
Blake turns around a gives Hart an anguished, how could you look. She
tells Roger she doesn't see anyone. Roger turns away slowly.

MANSION BLUES:
As the music swells in the background, we hear snatches of Phil's
convo (the poor guy needs a cordless phone).
"Wish I could ... I can't come back ... I don't know when ... Well
because it's important."
It ends in frustration, seemingly Beth has hung up.

Don't know the song, but I'll give you the approximate lyrics:
"Lately I've been running on faith
What else can a poor boy do?
But my world would be right
Love comes over you
I've been talking in my sleep"

See Phillip looking out rain streaked window

"Can't imagine what I have to say,"

Phillip puts his palm on windowpane; cut to Mandy's face and palm

"'Cept my world would be right
If love comes back my way
I always knew
Had to take each and every day"

Cut to a soaked AM

"Seems like right now I'd find
A love that cares just for me"

AM enters the yacht

"And we go running away"

He bends over a sleeping Lucy

"All of our dreams will come true"

AM looks at the pix

"And our world would be right
Love comes over me and you"

He kneels and kisses her.

CEDARS:
Blake is holding her tummy
Refrain of :"
I always knew
I'd have to take each and every day"

Cut to a desolate Roger

"Seems like right now
Need a love that cares just for me."

Repeat of second verse:
Cut to: Di and Hart celebrating in rain on rooftop.
Love comes over you.
Freeze-frame of a smooching Dirt.
