Guiding Light Update

Jenna comes in with the outfit she wore to wow the judge. Buzz calls
to ask what's going on, and Jenna says it's too dangerous for him to
call her here. She doesn't want to think of what Jeffrey would do if
he found out that she visited the judge while barely covered. Buzz
offers to come to her rescue, but Jenna has enough problems right
now. She tells him that when this is over she will want him like
crazy, and he'd better be up for it. He will have bells on, which
paints an interesting picture. She will work on getting the
fingerprint and will meet him at the morgue. Jeffrey walks in just
as Jenna hangs up and wants to know who was on the phone. Just the
valet, checking to see if the service is satisfactory. He seems to
accept the answer, but she is nervous, perhaps because she is sitting
on the little black dress, which is under the couch cushion.

At the Spaulding mansion, Amanda introduces Ross to people in front
of Blake and Roger. Ross approaches his wife and wants to know what
she is doing here, especially since he left a message asking her not
to come. Blake didn't get the message. Roger jumps to Blake's
defense and tells his son-in-law that his daughter doesn't have to be
embarassed about anything. Meanwhile, Abby is enjoying herself as
Rick stews from across the room. Philip teases his friend a little
and encourages him to say hello to her. Before he can, a man brings
her a drink and Rick is left out in the cold. Annie pats her toxic
tummy and tells her dead baby to hold on a little longer. Too late,
Annie. Reva and Josh enter, and Reva is worried that she doesn't see
Alan. Reva wants to know how Annie accomplished her deception and
moves off to look for Alan. Alan sees Annie, who tells him that Reva
is looking for him. He would like to avoid Josh, but will allow Reva
to find him. Josh runs up to Annie, who doesn't manage to escape.
Amanda socializes with Roger and Blake. She wants to talk to Blake
privately, and Roger doesn't mind because he wants to talk to Ross.
When he does, he goes into his usual speech about Ross hurting his
daughter. Ross stomps off. Josh won't let Annie slip away and wants
to know why she deceived Reva into believing that she was her sister.
Moi? Annie plays innocent, which is pretty ridiculous at this
point, and claims she knows nothing of Reva's sister.

Michelle and Daliah share a pizza at the Bauer house, and Michelle
complains that this time last year she would have had several party
invitations by now. The men in her life are gone. Daliah tries to
give her a pep talk, and they wind up talking about Mo. Michelle is
worried that she will forget things about her mom as time goes on,
and suddenly jumps up, saying she has something to do.

Jeffrey is confused about why the judge changed his mind about
Jenna's probation. He asks if she has ever met him, and she replies
that his questions are irritating. She talks him into mixing her a
 drink.

Buzz is in less comfortable circumstances. He is at the morgue, and
takes over escorting a body, telling the man to take a break. Once
inside a room, he finds that someone is ready to enter after him. Two
employees enter and are ready to work on the body. To their
surprise, another body is present but is missing a toe tag. They
mark it down to hospital incompetence and continue with their work.
Their attitude is nonchalant, making one wish to never be a patient
 at Cedars.

Blake demands to know what Amanda wants with her, and is upset when
Amanda wants her to look at a newspaper. She's seen enough tabloids
to last a lifetime, but relents and sees the headline that speculates
about Ross's chances for the position of D.A., considering his recent
 personal scandal.

Holly asks Roger where Blake is and is upset to find that Blake is
alone with Amanda. Abby's first taste of champagne makes her silly
and she flirts with the man who brought it. She reveals that she is
deaf, and they discuss a disability act that is going to be voted
upon soon. Rick butts in and as she gives her opinion on the act,
wears an expression that makes us wonder if he's ever heard an
intelligent woman speak. Alan finds Reva and tells her that he's
worried about Annie. Annie told him that Reva is harassing her.
Reva is angry and reveals that Annie admitted to her deception. When
she asks Alan how they pulled it off, Alan claims innocence and warns
Reva that Annie's condition is delicate. Reva doesn't care and lets
Alan know it. Annie tries to tell Josh that Reva made up the whole
story about her sister. Josh doesn't believe her, of course, but
Annie almost seems to believe it herself.

Michelle returns to the kitchen with a box of papers. She wants to
find pictures of her mom. She finds Ed and Mo's marriage
certificate, a photo of Maureen trimming a Christmas tree, and a
document stating that Maureen's heart was used in a transplant when
 she died.

Josh tries to make Annie admit the truth, but it's not going to
happen. Annie says she is afraid of Reva and wants Josh to keep that
woman away from her. Off she stomps, leaving a frustrated Josh
behind. Reva wants to know what Annie is doing at the party and
gives her the title of "lying witch" when Josh tells Reva about their
recent conversation. Alan and Annie conspire in a corner. Alan
reports that everything is on schedule and wants to know what's next.
What a friend. Holly complains to faux-Roger that she's worried
about Blake. Blake is holding her own. She thinks that Amanda
leaked the story to the press, and Amanda claims that Ross is the
right man for the job, the D.A. job, that is. Blake runs off to tell
the D.A. just what a great guy her hubby is, and Amanda smiles after
 her.

Jenna is very pleased with the drink Jeffrey has served her. She
decides to go to the hospital to work on her community service. The
more hours she puts in at Cedars, the sooner they will be in England.
He doesn't look entirely convinced, but allows her to leave. On her
way out, she grabs the martini shaker.

At the party, Blake runs into Griffin, who informs her that the D.A.
is here. She then runs into her parents and tells her about the
newspaper article. Blake wants to explain to the D.A. what an
honorable man her husband is, and when she corners him, she blurts
out the whole story, minus the other father's name. Ross retrieves
her and demands that she stop trying to help him. Roger wants to
know what Amanda is up to. Abby is still discussing the bill with
her friend and Rick finally slinks away. He tells Philip that he's
convinced that Abby can handle anything, including his boo-boo. Josh
tries to stop Reva from having a confrontation with Annie, but Reva
is hard to convince. Josh has other kinds of encounters on his mind
and expresses his feelings in a kiss, a long kiss. Annie assures
Alan that her performance for the evening is done, and excuses
herself to find Ross. When she finds him, she thanks him for turning
down her divorce case. She has changed her mind, and says that she's
decided not to give Josh a divorce after all.

Back at the morgue, Jenna almost runs into Frick & Frack as they
leave for the evening. Entering the room, she calls for Buzz and
almost has the tinkle scared out of her when one of the body bags
sits up. The love of her life, displaying his warped sense of humor,
is inside. Buzz explains that he was hiding, and Jenna shows him the
evidence. Buzz breaks out his magic kit and brushes the
 fingerprint.

Amanda wants Roger to keep his distance and proves it by walking
away. Philip offers Griffin a job at Spaulding negotiating a union
contract. Alan is no longer with the company, so there wouldn't be
any personality conflicts. Griffin will think about it. Josh and
Reva snuggle in the hallway and think about the future. He goes to
get the car and Annie looks daggers at Reva. She wants to talk
privately with her but Reva isn't interested. Annie says she has
information about her real sister, but Reva isn't biting. Annie
claims to be making amends and leaves Reva wondering. She'll meet
her upstairs. Reva follows, and we can guess what will follow.
Amanda speaks to the D.A. and asks if they can make their
announcement. It is suspenseful until she says that the new District
Attorney is Ross. Blake is stunned.

Jeffrey notices that the shaker is gone, and turns to see the dress
peeking out from the couch cushions. Why would Jenna hide it? He
calls the hospital and finds that Jenna isn't working tonight but is
at the hospital. He leaves to find the truth.

Buzz is working on the shaker and they are successful. They pack up
their gear and almost leave, but must hide again when they hear a
noise. The tech has returned to lock the door, and they are stuck
 overnight with a dead body.

Everyone applauds Ross. Annie and Reva talk at the top of the
stairs. Annie argues by herself louder and louder until the
partygoers can overhear. She grabs Reva's hand and places it on her
shoulder, shouting, "No Reva, no!". She then pushes herself down the
stairs and falls through a railing to the floor.
