Friday, January 9

Scene: Outside of Harley's apartment: Harley calls Phillip back and accepts
his offer to live together and they hug.

Michelle's room at the School for the Blind: Michelle talks with her teacher,
Irene, about "being independent" so she can live on her own back in
Springfield. She worries about forgetting the faces of the people she loves.

Cedars (waiting room): Jesse wants to see Rick and find out about Michelle,
but Abigail tries to keep him from disturbing them in the Emergency Room.
Cedars (ER): Rick and Ross argue about Kevin and how he could've fallen and
how well Ross had been watching him.

Ben's apartment: Blake knocks the door and Ben comes and begins immediately
with his innuendoes, to which Blake just rolls her eyes, but she accepts his
offer to come inside and then his offer to have a drink with him. Blake
explains that she goes after what she wants and tells him about her breaking
up Ross and her mother. He asks what she's going after now and she says that
he'll just have to wait and find out.

Outside the Diner: Harley and Phillip talk about her dog Scout and whether
he'll be allowed to sleep in their bed or not. They walk into the Diner
beaming and Buzz and Jenna ask why they are so happy. Harley simply responds
that's it's because of their good luck. Harley talks about the Spaulding
mansion and how much she dislikes it and Phillip suggests getting a place of
their own to which Harley is very pleased. Dahlia walks in and talks to Buzz
about Jesse and Michelle. She says that their New Years' started off really
well, but and then Buzz has to go answer the phone.

Michelle's: Michelle and Irene talk about how the other senses are more
perceptive after someone loses their sight and Irene lets Michelle talk about
Jesse for awhile. Irene leaves and Michelle gets ready for bed. She says to
herself, "Jesse, I love you."

Cedars: Jesse bursts into the ER and Rick yells at him asking if Jesse can't
see that his son is hurt. He yells at him to get out. Jesse apologizes and
leaves. Ross asks how Kevin is doing, and Rick yells, "He fell off a stool,
how do you think he's doing?" Rick argues with a nurse quietly about some
forms that she is trying to give him, and then Rick tells Ross that he has to
ask him some questions and begins to ask Ross about the possibility that Ross
may have pushed or shoved Kevin. Rick insists that this is all hospital
policy and he is required to ask these questions. When Ross realizes what
Rick is insinuating he gets upset and asks whether Rick thinks he should call
the authorities on him. Then an orderly comes in and asks what Kevin's last
name is for some paperwork, and Ross and Rick simultaneously say "Marler" and
"Bauer."

Ben's: Blake flirts with Ben and he accuses her of having something up her
sleeve. She says that she's going to leave and so he asks her not to go. She
tells him that he shouldn't be so suspicious. He tells her, as she unties his
tie, that she is getting into dangerous territory, and she says in a little
girl's voice, "Lions and tigers and bearsoh, my." She takes him to the bed
and convinces him to close his eyes for a surprise, which turns out to be
handcuffs with which she locks him to the bed. He asks what she's going to do
and starts depicting his fantasy for her. She tells him that he needs a taste
of his own medicine. He asks about that and she whips out a switchblade.

Michelle's: She talks to herself about how much she loves Jesse and how she
doesn't know how she can go on without him. A noise rings out and she screams
for him.

Cedars: Jesse calls Dahlia at the Diner and tells her that she has to tell him
where Michelle is, but Dahlia says that she wish she could help, but doesn't
know where she is either.'

The Diner: Harley talks to Phillip about the houses in the paper and he tells
her that his real estate agent can handle it because that have "more important
things to do." Buzz walks up and asks what they are talking about and Harley
tells him that they're moving in together. Buzz thinks about it for a second
and asks Phillip when he was planning on asking Harley to marry him. Harley
laughs nervously and after Buzz's pestering Harley asks him to stop, because
they know what they're doing. Buzz asks if they're living in the sixties, so
Phillip does an impression of a hippie with "good intentions" for his
daughter. Phillip laughs, but then really does ask Buzz for his permission
and after kiddingly saying no (and shocking Harley) he gives them his best
wishes.

Cedars: Abi tells Rick sadly that Kevin will never truly legally be his while
he is still involved with her, and she doesn't want to deprive him of that.

Ben's: Blake holds the knife at Ben's neck and he tells her that it's ironic
that she hates him but is bringing up her own son in exactly the same way he
was: without knowing his true parents. Blake denies that Kevin will turn out
anything like Ben. Ben assures her that one day Kevin will find out the gory
secrets behind his conception.

Michelle's: Irene comes into the room and helps calm Michelle down and then
helps her figure out where the sound is coming from. It was a tree banging
against the window. She tells this very weird story about one of the first
nights she was blind and thought "The Claw" was coming to get her. That one
turned out to be a hamster. She tucks Michelle back in.

The Diner: Phillip says Beth coming to town gave him the push to get his
priorities straight with Harley. She asks where he sees them a year from now.
He pauses and asks her. She says, no, she asked him first. So he says that
they're happy now and he doesn't want to worry about more than that. He
passes her a little black box and says it's a present. Dahlia calls Michelle
and tells her how upset Jesse was and Michelle says it doesn't matter, he can
never know where she is, but right then Jesse walks in.

Cedars: Rick says that Abi's talking crazy but she says that she's a murderer
and Rick will never be with Kevin unless they're apart. Ross talks on the
phone in an attempt to find his wife and wonders where Blake could be.

Ben's: Blake holds the knife to his neck, and when he tells her she could
never really kill him in cold blood, she throws the knife down. She gets
ready to walk out, but he says that he would then have to call for security
and if he told them that Ross Marler's wife set him up like this, it wouldn't
look to good for Ross. So Blake comes back over to unlock him and he grabs her
and kisses her hard.

Outside the Diner: Harley opens the box and gasps. "Some women get diamonds,
and some get hearts. I get an empty key chain." Phillip disdainfully tells
her that it's for the keys to their first house together. She rolls her eyes
as if she obviously already knew that, and tells him that it's the perfect
gift.

Inside the Diner: Jesse grabs the phone from Dahlia and yells into it,
"Michelle? Michelle!" but she is too shocked to answer.
