From: wesley Subject: RotSoaps-"An Optical Adjustment at the Lighthouse" An Optical Adjustment at the Lighthouse by HolnRog@aol.com 1/24/97 Roger: I've got you, Holly. Fade to black Next scene Holly: ohhhh, ahhhhh, oooooh, right there, ah, oh, that's good, right there, yes! Roger: How's this? Holly: ohhhh, aww, aww, aww, ooooh, ooooohhhhh, that's it! that's it! Roger chuckles. Roger: You could just imagine what people would think if they heard us here amongst all this fog. Holly: Huh? (pause) Roger! Roger smiles and laughs. Roger carried Holly from the beach to her car and carefully set her down on the passenger seat. Kneeling down before her, Roger massaged Holly's ankle and delicately rotated the joint using an ancient oriental method of pressure release. Holly: I think I'm fine. Roger: Very slowly, try standing on it. (helping her up) Careful, careful. Holly: Oh, oh, it's great, oh, (looks at Roger) I haven't felt this good in...years. Roger: (confident) I'm sure. They stare at each other for a very long time. Holly: Now, let's try to call the coast guard. Roger: Right. Holly sits back down. Roger goes to the driver side and dials... A few minutes later, at the parking lot, Blake: I didn't want to stay knowing that we could help out. Ross: But, Blake they already have loads of help there. Do you know how much the dry-cleaning bill will be if you muss that gown. I don't want to think about it. Blake: (looking ahead through the fog) Mom? Roger has gone back over to Holly on the passenger side and is now massaging her calf. Her taffeta gown is hiked up beyond her knee. Holly: Oh, honey! I twisted my ankle on the beach trying to help the others at the lighthouse. Blake: Are you okay, Mom? Roger: (working the sinewy muscle of Holly's inner thigh) Your mother will be fine now, Chrissy. Holly: Look over there! The lighthouse! The light is on! Blake and Ross turn to the direction of the light. Holly runs her hands through Roger's hair and pulls him into a deep, full, sensual kiss. Ross: Look hon! They got the light working. And we didn't even have to help them. Blake: Oh Ross, its wonderful! Blake turns to her parents. Blake: Ohh, Dad! You're going to get a chest cold if you stay out here like that. Roger: That's true, sweetie. Holly helps Roger button his shirt. Roger: There doesn't seem to be anything else we need to do here. We should get back to the affair. Ross: Yes! The dedication ceremony for Vanessa. Holly: What? Ross: The affair! The dedication ceremony for the new Cedars wing named for Vanessa. Holly: (pointing to Roger) Oh, that's not what Roger's talking about... (she sees Blake's puzzled look) Oh yeah, right, the gala! Roger: (turns to Holly, nodding) We'll head back over there, I'll drive you, Holly. Blake: Mom, you can come with Ross and me. Holly: (interrupting) That's okay. Your father will give me what I want...ah, I mean, get me where I want. Blake: (pulling Holly aside) Mom. I'm so glad that you and Daddy are friends again. Roger: (coming closer) Oh Chrissy. It's wonderful! Your mother and I are quickly becoming closer in every sense...biblical and... Ross: We should be going, Blake. Holly: You go ahead, honey. We'll catch up in an hour or two...minute or two. Ross and Blake disappear into the fog. Roger and Holly can hear the sound of their car as it drives off. Roger picks up Holly and carries her back to the beach. Holly: You've got me, Roger. (demurely) All of me.
